نبذة مختصرة : The purpose of this paper is to analyze tendencies and problems of construction of teaching materials in the type, of "striking/fielding game" in physical education, especially from viewpoint of tactical-centered approaches. The main findings are as follows. I) Recently in Japan, game modification of this type is focused on "representation" as easing of "on-the-ball skills." 2) The main problem of game modification is "exaggeration" to develop playing ability through tactical awareness or decision-making in games.
