Series 'Cardiovascular System' (2) : Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor and Its Receptors

Vascular endothelial growth factor and its related molecules play a central role in tumor, vascular disorders, metabolic diseases, and inflammation. Pharmacological reagents for their cell surface receptors as well as anti-ligand antibodies affect the progression of those disorders. Regulation of preexisting vessels with molecular tools would contribute to the treatment of a variety of disorders.
