      Background & Aims: Transient elastography (TE) has routinely been implemented in the diagnosis and assessment of chronic liver disease. Little data are available in the post liver transplant (LTx) setting. Methods: Three months after LTx, we performed TE in 137 liver transplant recipients and investigated its predictive value upon further clinical outcome. The mean follow-up time for clinical outcome was 24 months. Results: Mean TE value was 10.6 kPa (± 6.3 kPa; range 2.8 – 29.9 kPa).
