Disclosure of Health Care Workers With HIV or AIDS

Every health care organization should have clear policies about how employees with HIV/AIDS are to be accommodated under employment laws. Managers should be knowledgeable about discrimination laws in order to handle reactions of co-workers. Administrators must ensure that educational sessions are provided for all levels of staff. Informational brochures on HIV/AIDS should be available to families and to businesses and other community organizations.
