Book Review: Confronting Sexual Harassment: What Schools and Colleges Can Do

An unsettling thing happened to me upon sitting down to read this book, something that graduate students in my student development theory courses point out can occur all too easily - I retreated to dualistic thinking (Perry, 1970). Brandenburg's choice of title, "Confronting Sexual Harassment: What Schools and Colleges Can Do," combined with her 19 years of experience in the field as a psychologist, teacher, and administrator, led me to the hopeful conclusion that there was a genuine authority who would certainly have the "right answer" for the persistent and detrimental problem of sexual harassment in the educational context.
