      Pankowskichthys gen. nov. urn:lsid:zoobank.org:act: 6C6C231C-40DC-4AD6-9250-2FD72E4EDC1B Type species: Pankowskichthys libanicus gen. et sp. nov. (by monotypy) Diagnosis As for the species (monospecific genus). Etymology The name of the new genus is dedicated to Mark Pankowski (Rockville, Maryland, U.S.A.), who generously offered the holotype of Pankowskichthys libanicus gen. et sp. nov. to the Royal Belgian Institute for Natural Sciences (IRSNB).
