نبذة مختصرة : The author draws on his forty-year experience of study, teaching and involvement in theological education of the laity to describe and evaluate some models or forms of education. Each of the four models: preaching, disciplined learning, small group faith sharing, and conscientization are illustrated from personal experience and the insights of prominent theologians and educators. Though noting serious obstacles to the conduct of such education in the churches, he ends on a hopeful note citing the courageous example of Paulo Freire who used both theology and educational theory to promote a revolutionary education.
