Experimental Studies of Strength and Deformation Parameters of Ice and Highly Ice-Rich Soils

The article presents the results of experimental studies of the dependence of strength and deformation parameters of ice and highly ice-rich frozen soils on temperature and ice content. The type of compressive strength was established depending on temperature (in the range from −1°C to −8°C) and ice content (from 0.2 to 0.9). The influence of the mineral layer on the strength of highly ice soils has been studied. The viscosity coefficients were determined depending on the ice content and temperature.
