Morphological descriptions including pollen and leaf anatomy are provided as well as sequences of the plastid trnK-matK and trnL-trnF regions, serving as molecular descriptions. The substitutions were evaluated to find suitable characters for a molecular diagnosis that complements the morphological diagnosis.
