Linguistique et analyse de la poésie : apports actuels

This article explores the present-day pertinence of linguistic analysis of poetry. Linguistics of the sentence gave way to discourse analysis, to the status of stylistics, and to enunciative linguistics. We summarize several perspectives in linguistics that scholars in the 1980s pursued. Secondly, we consider the place of enunciative linguistics in studies on the functioning of texts (Monte, 2010; AEgidus, 2012) and on linguistic specificities that belong to the genre of poetry (systems of reference, deixis, rhythme, and so on). Next we turn our attention to the question of lyricism (Rabate, 1996; Bricco, 2012) which is known as the apparatus of performativity (Rabate, 2013). Lastly, this article comments briefly on a book by Mathieu Benezet in order to demonstrate the pertinence of the mutual contribution of poetry and lingistics.
