نبذة مختصرة : This final degree project explores the fascinating world of Augmented Reality (AR), which is based on geolocation, an emerging technology that combines interactive digital elements with the physical world, guided by the user's geographic location. We begin the journey by describing how mapping APIs like Google Maps and Mapbox become the foundation on which to build rich digital experiences that enhance the real world. In this project, the most popular tools for the development of applications based on Geolocation are explored, where one way of displaying information is through maps. In this work we see how to create maps and interactive routes for this type of applications. These maps are interactive environments that guide users through predetermined routes, adding a layer of interaction that goes beyond conventional navigation. When we activate the camera mode the magic of AR becomes complete. Here, the user can follow a route in the real world through their device's camera while virtual directions appear on their screen to guide them every step of the way. The combination of physical and digital offers a wide range of educational, tourism and entertainment applications, changing the way we interact with our environment. This work not only demonstrates the technical possibility of integrating geolocation with Augmented Reality, but also invites us to imagine futures in which our interaction with the space around us is richer, more informative and stimulating. We seek not only to explain how these technologies work, but also to inspire us to think about how they can improve our lives even with the limitations that the mobile devices on which they run create.
