La enseñanza del periodismo y las nuevas tecnologías de la información y de la comunicación

Este artículo reflexiona sobre las nuevas tecnologías de la información y de la comunicación y su innegable repercusión en la actividad periodística, en el hábito de recepción y en la enseñanza del periodismo. El periodismo debe defender unas señas de identidad que le den un sentido de existencia. De otro modo no subsistirá en esta nueva era de tecnología informativa y el concepto de realidad social dejará paso a una pobre individualización como reacción ante el vértigo de la gran ventana global. Lo fundamental es el mensaje y el mensaje no es el medio. La teoría de la Información, y con ella, la teoría del Periodismo, deben hacer frente a unos nuevos cimientos teóricos y pragmáticos.
This article reflects on the new technologies used for the information and communication and their undeniable repercussion in the journalistic activity, in the habit of reception and in journalism education. The journalism must defend the identity signs that give its existence sense. Otherwise, it will not subsist in this new era of informative technology and the concept of social reality can become a poor individualisation as a reaction to the vertigo of the great global window.The most important thing is the message and the message is not the medium. The theory of the communication and the theory of the journalism must consider new theoretical and pragmatic foundations.
