Projecte de disseny de joieria enfocada en l’exploració del concepte de joia i el seu paper

La joieria és un ofici i forma d’art amb tradició de milers d’anys que ha format part de les diferents cultures al llarg dels temps com a guarnició personal i s’ha reinventat segons la influència de molts factors, adaptant-se a les modes i necessitats de la població. En aquest context, l’objectiu d’aquest treball és dissenyar joieria més enllà de les peces habituals i explorar el concepte de joia en la nostra societat actual, jugant amb les formes del cos i el vestuari. Es vol crear una línia que no busqui tenir un paper secundari en un conjunt, com seria un complement, sinó un paper rellevant. Per al disseny de la línia s’ha realitzat una investigació inicial sobre el concepte, el valor i el paper de la joieria, així com de l’usuari i el mercat, i s’han utilitzat diverses metodologies de disseny i eines de conceptualització per a definir les peces de la línia segons les conclusions de la fase de recerca. Finalment, s’han definit les joies en detall per a la seva producció i s’han creat uns prototips realistes d’aquestes. El resultat final doncs, el qual es pretén posar en venda en un futur proper, és una línia de joieria original i sense gènere, que explora diferents parts del cos i trenca amb la majoria de peces que es troben al mercat.
Jewellery is a craft and art form with a tradition of thousands of years that has been part of different cultures through the time as personal adornment and has been reinvented according to the influence of many factors, adapting to fashions and needs of the population. In this context, the aim of this project is to design jewellery, going beyond the usual pieces and explore its concept in our current society, playing with body shapes and clothing. The idea is to create a line that does not seek a secondary role in an outfit, as would be a complement, but a relevant one. For the design of the line, initial research has been carried out on the concept, value and role of jewellery, as well as the user and the market, and various design methodologies and conceptualization tools have been used to define the pieces of the line according to the conclusions of the research phase. Finally, the jewels have been defined in detail for their production and realistic prototypes have been created. The end result then, which is intended to be put on sale in the near future, is a line of original and genderless jewellery that explores different parts of the body and breaks free of most pieces found on the market.
