Frankfurt okulu bağlamında eleştirel teori ve eğitim

Bu çalışmanın amacı, Frankfurt Okulu’nun kuruluş tarihini, amacını, eleştirel düşünceleriyle dikkat çeken Max Horkheimer, Theodor W. Adorno, Herbert Marcuse ve Jürgen Habermas’ın fikirlerini irdelemek ve söz konusu fikirlerin eğitime yansımalarına değinmektir. Bu çerçevede okulun kuruluşuna ilişkin çeşitli dönemselleştirmeler sunulmuş, dönemlerin özellikleri ele alınmış, öncü fikir insanlarının görüşleri incelenmiş ve “Eleştirel Teori” ile özdeşleşme sürecine değinilmiştir. Diğer yandan “Frankfurt Okulu serüveni nedir? Eleştirel Teori bakış açısıyla eğitim paydaşlarının bulundukları konumun önemi nedir? Eğitim paydaşlarına düşen görevler nelerdir ve kültür endüstrisi eğitime nasıl yansımaktadır?” gibi soruların muhtemel cevaplarına ilişkin değerlendirilmeler yapılmıştır. Çalışma sonunda Eleştirel Teori ile eğitim sistemi birlikte ele alınıp yorumlanmış ve eğitim paydaşlarına çeşitli önerilerde bulunulmuştur.
The purpose of this study is to examine the foundation period and main goal of Frankfurt School, with the ideas of Max Horkheimer, Theodor W. Adorno, Herbert Marcuse and Jürgen Habermas, and focus on the educational issues. Firstly, foundation periods were presented and the characteristics of those periods were also dealt. Ideas of leading intellectuals of that School and the process of transforming “Critical Theory” were discussed. Some evaluations were made considering the questions “What is the adventure of Frankfurt School?”, “What is the importance of the point of education stakeholders within the perspective of critical theory?” and “What are the duties of education stakeholders and how does the cultural industry concept effect education?” Some suggestions were made for education stakeholders by considering critical theory and education together.
