Les Djinns

Cet article propose une traduction inédite, en italien, d’un poème intitulé Les Djinns, tiré des Orientales de Victor Hugo (1802-1885). La traduction, rigoureusement métrique, est suivie d’un commentaire qui analyse les procédés mis en œuvre et les principales difficultés rencontrées, surtout sur le plan de la versification, dans le passage du français à l’italien. This article presents an unpublished translation into Italian of a poem entitled Les Djinns, taken from Victor Hugo's Orientales (1802-1885). The translation, which is strictly metrical, is followed by a commentary which analyses the procedures used and the main difficulties encountered, especially in terms of versification, in the transition from French to Italian.
