Food, Identity, and Cultural Reproduction in Immigrant Communities.

The article discusses the relationship between food and identity within immigrant communities, including in regard to the cultural reproduction of culinary tradition. An overview of the social networks based around food, including community supported agriculture (CSA), is provided. An overview of the role that immigrant food traditions play in establishing social spaces, including where social bonds and collective history are inscribed and where the immigrant's otherness is appreciated, is also provided.
