      The article presents a study which examined factors associated with hepatitis B virus (HBV) vaccine completion and observed postvaccination antibody responses in completers. The study combined cash incentives and street outreach with flexible immunization schedules to improve HBV vaccine completion among young injection drug users in San Francisco, California. The participants who have completed their HBV immunization were more likely to have lived in San Francisco for three or more months to have received prior HIV testing and to have anti-hepatitis C virus positive test results.
