STRATEGIES AND MANAGEMENT IN DISTANCE EDUCATION: CASE STUDY OF SEIFAI.

This work is an attempt to organize planning and analysis for the project management in distance education. Its main purpose is to show reflections in accordance with readings, projects and experiences in distance education (EAD) by the author. From the context of the history of distance education and major aspects of planning and management of virtual environments for teaching and learning - AVEA presents this study. For this case study of implementation of distance education Society Education Itapiranga - SEIFAI was used as a context for the development of the analysis, since it refers to projects implemented in small colleges. Thus, the experience and findings presented suggest a possible format for deployment and management of ODL projects for other institutions that have similar characteristics and SEIFAI wishing to develop distance education projects. Este trabalho consiste em uma análise referente ao planejamento e à gestão de projetos em Educação a Distância (EAD). A partir da contextualização da história da EAD e dos principais aspectos de planejamento e gestão de ambientes virtuais de ensino e aprendizagem (AVEA), apresenta-se este estudo. Para isso, o estudo de caso de implantação da EAD na Sociedade Educacional de Itapiranga (SEIFAI) foi utilizado como contexto para o desenvolvimento das análises, uma vez que se refere a projetos de oferta de disciplinas semipresenciais implantados em faculdades de pequeno porte. Assim, a experiência e as constatações apresentadas apontam para uma possível formatação para implantação e gestão de projetos de EAD para outras instituições que possuam características semelhantes as da SEIFAI e que pretendam desenvolver projetos de EAD.
