Exception, evidence, experience-based medicine: The evolution of medical practice and the Greek paradox.

In this article the authors reflect on decision making in the Greek health care system which is based on exception and exceptional medical cases. They are critical of both senior and junior physicians whose medical case management is based on exception rather than evidence. They are supportive of developing and offering well structured training and medical education in Greece which will help to avoid exception-based decision making.
