The article focuses on the increasing gap between laws and technology as laws cannot keep up with technology. Topics discussed include the slow creation of laws while technology continues to evolve, the ethical issues concerning the use of the Internet and the inconsistent provisions of the U.S. Genetic Information Nondiscrimination Act of 2008 that prohibits the use of genetic information in health insurance and employment but does not provide protection from discrimination.
