The last Sandinista?

On the list of official American enemies in the 1980s, few groups ranked higher than Nicaragua's Sandinista National Liberation Front-Frente for short. And no Sandinista leader was an object of greater American animosity than Nicaragua's hard-line Interior Minister, Comandante Tomás Borge, the sole surviving founder of the Sandinista Front, who insisted Sandinismo had to be Marxist and military, anti-bourgeoisie and anti-Yankee. Looking for international support, a five-member delegation flew in from Managua in early September to attend the twentieth International Socialist Congress at the United Nations.
