Introduction: Acknowledging and confrontation of the growing risk factors associated with the induction of stroke (stroke), requires the systematic study of their local-national level and the systematic study between various countries and people too. Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the association of stroke between Greece and Germany regarding various causative factors such as age, sex, mortality, co-existing illnesses, medication and route of administration of treatment. Material and Methodology: The research was conducted in two hospitals respective cities in Greece and Germany, at G.P.N. Mytilene «Vostaneio» and Rehabilitation Centre stroke patients «Muhlengrund». The duration was 3 months, from 1 January 2011 to 31 March 2011. This is a retrospective comparative study which used descriptive statistics to study the proper recording, processing and analysis of these data, using the software Excel. Results: The sample consisted of patients, of whom 54 are from G.P.N. Mytilene «Vostaneio» and 70 from «Muhlengrund» Germany. Of these, in Mytilene were 25 men and 29 women and in German men were 46 and women 24. Conclusions: Addressing factors such as diabetes mellitus, hyperlipidemia, arterial and cardiac diseases thrombophlebitis, and poor hygiene such as smoking, alcohol abuse, sedentariness and poor diet, along with receiving appropriate treatment, can protect us from vascular events.
