      The author reflects on the nursing journal Referência and the Health Sciences Research Unit-Nursing (UICISA-E) that is hosted by the Nursing School of Coimbra (ESEnfC) in Portugal. He suggests that UICISA-E, the ESEnfC and Referência have worked diligently to work on sustainable projects that meet citizens’ health priorities and needs. He argues that all three will come together to respond to national and international nursing research needs.
