The article offers information on a research study conducted by Health Affair magazine in December 2012. It declared that the most of the patients in the U.S., in Consumer-Directed Health Plans, were not aware of Free or Low-Cost Preventive Care. It further revealed that 50.2 percent patients did not understand the plan design and 48.3 percent mistakenly believed that all medical tests applied towards their deductible.
