      The article discusses the Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10), also known as ubiquinone located primarily in mitochondria of most of the cells. CoQ10 is used to treat oxidative stress in cardiovascular diseases, diabetes and breast cancer; and studies found that oxidative stress in these pathologies are imperative. Emphasis on understanding of CoQ10's effect in mitochondrial disease mechanism and medical-surgical nurses intervention into CoQ10 research, is presented.
