Evidentiary Reliability, Valuation Standards, and Rules of Thumb.

The article discusses evidentiary reliability in the U.S. in relation to Rule 702 of the nation's Federal Rules of Evidence and the U.S. Supreme Court's ruling in the case Daubert v. Merrell Dow Pharmaceuticals Inc. as of April 2011. The valuation standards for closely held corporations are also addressed, as well as the legal rules which govern the testimony of expert witnesses in American court proceedings. The California case Devries v. Devries is also analyzed.
