The article provides information on a interim final rule issued by the U.S. Department of Defense (DOF) concerning the U.S. Federal Voting Assistance Program. This rule provides direction and guidance to the DOF and other Federal departments and agencies in establishing voting assistance programs for citizens covered by the U.S. Uniformed and Overseas Citizens Absentee Voting Act as modified by the Military and Overseas Voter Empowerment Act. This rule is effective from September 18, 2012.
