LAS QUEJAS DE ABUSO Y ACOSO SEXUAL EN PRIMARIAS PÚBLICAS DEL DISTRITO FEDERAL.

This article studies the relations among the characteristics of complaints of sexual harassment and/or abuse in public elementary schools in Mexico City, and the measurement of whether or not these complaints have been confirmed. The study analyzed 109 reports of intervention, carried out by specialists from the Unit of Attention to Sexual Abuse and Mistreatment of Children. An analysis of logistic regression that considered the confirmation of complaint as the dependent variable supports the existence of a statistically significant relationship between confirmation and the following dichotomous variables: repeat offender, psychological evaluation of victim, interview of director, workshop held, and victim moved to another school. Based on the results, several recommendations are made, including the urgent need for educational authorities to implement rigorous measures to prevent school employees previously involved in a complaint of sexual harassment and/or abuse from committing another offense of this type. Este artículo estudia la relación entre las características de las quejas de abuso y/o acoso sexual de primarias públicas de la Ciudad de México y su resultado, medido a partir de si éstas se confirman o no. Para ello se analizaron 109 informes de intervención, realizados por especialistas de la Unidad de Atención al Maltrato y Abuso Sexual Infantil. Un análisis de regresión logística que considera la confirmación de la queja como la variable dependiente respalda la existencia de una relación estadísticamente significativa entre la confirmación y las siguientes variables dicótomas: reincidencia del ofensor, evaluación psicológica de la víctima, entrevista al director, realización de taller y cambio de plantel de la víctima. A partir de los resultados se dan varias recomendaciones entre las que destaca la urgente necesidad de que las autoridades educativas implementen medidas rigurosas para evitar que aquellos miembros del personal escolar que ya han estado involucrados en una queja de abuso y/o acoso sexual vuelvan a cometer una ofensa de este tipo.
