The article describes two types of movable configurations called bar-and-joint models. It is inferred that the first type of bar-and-joint model involves pairs of pyramids whereas the second model involves two different polyhedra. The bar-and-joint models are called separable and connected. A brief history on how the bar-and-joint models were discovered is provided.
