The article offers information on a study conducted by the authors related to isoniazid preventive therapy (IPT) in treatment of tuberculosis (TB) in Indonesian children. 260 children for the main cohort 150 aged below 5 and active TB was excluded in 82 children, who became part of the sub-study. Possible risk factors for poor adherence were calculated using logistic regression and interviews were also conducted to investigate poor adherence. It highlights that out of 82, 61 had poor adherence, which was not affected by demographics. It reports that reasons for poor adherence were high medication and transportation costs, along with health service experience and knowledge of caregiver about TB and IPT.
