A Review of Open Access Self-Archiving Mandate Policies.

The article reports on research which was conducted to review the history of open access policies in libraries and examine the status of mandate policy implementations in libraries. Researchers found that while hundreds of policies have been proposed and adopted at organizational levels and many have had a positive effect on repository development, many policies had little or no impact on repository development. The opinions the researchers had on open access mandate policies are discussed.
