Why I'm Not Preparing My Students to Compete in the Global Marketplace.

In this article the author explores reasons he has chosen to engage students taking his environmental humanities course in local environmental projects in place of having them discuss global problems related to environmental degradation. He argues that involving students in problem solving projects within the community surrounding the University of Delaware prepares them for their employment in the local job market and comments on the relationship between globalization and higher education.
