The article focuses on the revisions on the rules of telemedecine credentialing and privileging of the U.S. Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). CMS allows distant-site hospitals and critical access hospitals (CAHs) to enforce proxy credentialing with Medicare-certified hospitals and telemedicine entities. CMS has elucidated that it is the obligation of the medicine-precipitation site to determine that the specifics of the requirements are presented before entering an arrangement.
