The article explores the use of complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) among adult cancer patients in the Asia-Pacific. It provides a definition of CAM according to the U.S. National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine (NCCAM). It differentiates complementary medicine from alternative medicine with regards on their application on conventional medicine. The use of CAM in the general population as well as the policies of the government for its usage is discussed.
