The recent revolution in in formation technology has significantly challenged society's perception and understanding about the world in which we live. The advantages offered by distance-learning have been recognized by educators, scholars, and researchers as one of the most effective ways to improve the quality of learning. This study investigates possible factors that affect student acceptance of distance-learning in an Arab Open University in Kuwait. The variables that this study examines are computer self-efficacy, technological factors, instructional design, and instructor characteristics. This study utilized a descriptive quantitative research study design and the inferential methods analysis. The findings of this study suggest that in order to enhance distance-learning system, distance-learning institutions need to address computer self-competency, technological factors, social environment, and instructor characteristics.
