      The article reports on a U.S. study conducted by psychologist Lyman W. Porter which discovers that the stereotyped organization man is more likely to inhibit small companies than big companies. The study considers three variables which are common to any business organization including size, hierarchical levels, and differences between roles within the organization. It also finds that executives and managers are more satisfied in their work compared to supervisors and staff men.
