The article focuses on the critical and skeptical reactions of parents to the use of response to intervention (RTI) approaches in U.S. education. It discusses the perspectives of parents who doubt that RTI methods adequately address the problems and needs of struggling students and who think that RTI may actually delay help to students with learning disabilities.
