The Cold War Shift to Economic Fronts.

The article examines the implications of the Soviet economic maneuvers in Asia and the Middle East during the Cold War. Many U.S. officials believed that Russians sought for an opportunity to fight an economic war against western nations. A brief overview of the effort of Russia to make trade deals with other underdeveloped countries in such regions is also given, along with the changes in the U.S. foreign economic policies to meet the economic warfare challenge posed by the Soviet.
