The article presents information on a project called Blue Book, in which the U.S. Air Force kept a check on unidentified flying objects (UFOs). However, in 1969, the number of UFOs reported in U.S. skies sharply declined, and the Blue Book was closed. According to a study conducted under the supervision of University of Colorado Physicist Edward U. Condon, UFOs were apparently based on optical illusions, stars, weather inversions, and satellites.
