Dubious Battle.

The article focuses on the continued rearguard action of the U.S. against Viet Nam in 1976. It states that the membership bid of Viet Nam to the United Nations (UN) was vetoed by the U.S. in the UN Security Council. It also mentions that the U.S. Ambassador William Scranton acknowledged in the General Assembly that despite of the possibility that the Vietnamese cannot answer for the 800 Americans who are missing in action (MIAS), Hanoi, Vietnam still was not making efforts for the relief of the missing Americans's families. Meanwhile, the U.S. was the only nation which voted against the entry of Viet Nam into the UN.
