The article presents strategies from librarians, educators and readers that support the inquiry-based pedagogy and offers basics that can be used in helping students to identify what they already know and build interest and curiosity for the inquiry. It describes teaching methods, including Wikipedia and video-based learning, for developing and assessing the prior knowledge in students. Further, school activities that can be demonstrated to build student engagement about learning are outlined.
