Turkey's War Against the PKK.

The article focuses on the political risks resulting from the renewed fighting between the Turkish state and the rebels of the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK). The implications of military operations against the PKK for the international peace policy of Turkey and negotiations for its European Union membership are examined. New measures against the PKK agreed upon by attendees to Turkey's National Security Council (MGK) are mentioned, including increasing the number of units in the border region.
