Integrated Worm Control in Lambs.

The article discusses the use of a tool called FAMACHA in determining whether to deworm lambs infected with the blood-sucking barber pole worm and prevent the quick development of parasiticide resistance in the worms through unnecessary deworming. It is stated that the lambs' eyelid color is compared with FAMACHA photos of sheep eyelids at five levels of anemia, from the red eyelids of healthy livestock to the white eyelids of anemic animals. Rotational grazing can reportedly also minimize the deworming of lambs.
