  The article focuses on a study which examines the effect of neighbourhood social processes to the emotions and behaviors of children in Australia. The study reveals that the perception of neighbourhood safety was significantly associated with the hyperactivity, emotional symptoms, and peers problems in children. The study concludes that the socioeconomic status of the neighbourhood and neighbourhood belonging affect the behavioral and emotional problems in children.
