H1N1: Spreading the Message.

The article reports on the effort of environmental health and safety (EHS) professionals to control the pandemic outbreak of H1N1 virus which occurred originally in Mexico in April 2009. Kathleen Sebelius, secretary of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) inform the public on how to prevent the virus transmission. Information regarding the effective risk and crisis communication for the pandemics is also presented.
