Bringing Biolubricants to Industry.

The article reports on the study by Sharma and colleagues which converted oleic acid to a stable form by using aniline as catalyst while adding formic acid and hydrogen peroxide to a heated mixture. The researchers explain that compatibility and simple chemistry with existing operations are keys in bringing the biolubricants to the industry. It adds that the vegetable-based lubricant can provide an alternative to the petroleum-based lubricant for use in various machineries.
