      This article discusses the expectations of management trainees in adopting his organization's culture. The author J. E. Hebden presented a typology of organizational ideologies, an idea that was subsequently developed by Charles Handy in his book Understanding Organization. A research design was adopted in which 31 graduate trainees, 18 in one company and 13 in another; they were exposed to 4 research interventions during their training programs. The researchers found out that the gap between the trainees' personal preference and their perception of company preferences was not the result of a realignment of the graduates' personal views but it resulted from radical changes in their perceptions of the values and relationships that characterize their companies.
