      The article presents a case study of transferring medical tools from a closing thermoset molding company to a new contract molder without affecting quality or capabilities of the tools. According to the author, due to recession, tool transfers have become common and challenging. Dental equipment maker A-dec Inc. employed the right processes in looking for the right partner for the transfer. Through A-dec's supplier qualification procedures, Dickten Masch Plastics LLC got the contract.
