      The article offers information on the performance of the financial services industry in Australia. The Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) observed resiliency in the industry where only a small number of banks recorded declined profits and were able to improve their balance sheets despite the recession. It states that house lending defaults fell in the country at around 0.6 per cent. However, RBA states that global banking regulation and monetary policies are the challenges facing the industry.
