An Evaluation of the "Computer Technology and Programming" Curriculum in the Vocational Higher Education System in Turkey.

The article focuses on the study that makes an assessment to the functions of the Computer Technology and Programming curriculum offered at vocational colleges in Turkey. The study conducted semi-structured interviews and document analysis to gather data. The findings of the study implied the presence of problematic issues related to the curriculum including poor quality of education, insufficiency of industry-based education, and limited areas of specialization. Suggestions concerning the structural problems of vocational colleges and the curriculum are offered.
